Soccer Field Drainage

In South Africa the Shelton system has recently been installed at 18 of the practice fields in preparation for the 2013 World Cup.
An international soccer field has piped drains 5 meters apart with gravel bands at 400mm centres and subject to the permeability of the soil, should drain 25mm of rain within a half hour.
